Have you ever wanted to know what it’s like to be a judge? You’ll gain some insight once you listen to my interview with the Honorable Judge Deborah M. Turner, who happens to be one of my law school classmates. Judge Turner was elected to the Cuyahoga County Court of Common Pleas General Division bench in 2018. Before that, she served as a magistrate, prosecutor, and assistant law director. She has practiced family law, criminal law, and probate law. Before her law career began, she was an educator. During the interview, we discussed her upbringing in Cleveland, the incident that sparked her interest in becoming a lawyer, her career path, one of her toughest cases, and what she loves about Cleveland. Judge Turner is a native Clevelander and a graduate of John Adams High School and Cleveland State University.  She is a wife, mother, and grandmother. Judge Turner has served the citizens of greater Cleveland well for many years, and she’s dope!
