It is nice to have friends who are accomplished professionally, but when your friends genuinely want to use their gifts and talent by mentoring people in a way that leads to the “development of the whole person,” that is worth highlighting. I hope you enjoy my conversation with Stan Drayton, Head Football Coach at Temple University. A fellow class of ’89 graduate of Cleveland’s John Marshall High School, Stan’s football coaching career has spanned well over 25 years and he’s still going strong. We discuss his time as a student athlete while growing up in Cleveland, Ohio, and his coaching career which includes both NFL and NCAA teams, not to mention two BCS National Championships with University of Florida and The Ohio State University! As you’ll come to understand, his commitment to his faith and family (and his extended family of football players and coaches) has contributed greatly to his success. Coach Drayton leads by example, and he’s dope!
